How my Norton Antivirus exe files paths are changed in Services Tab

Today I realized that my norton antivirus is not running, then i looked into the services to figure out whats going on. Then i realized the paths of the exe files are changed, they are not pointed to the right location. There is no way in services to change the path of the exe files so reinstalled the software. Do you know how it was caused?
