What is the advantage of asp.net 2.0 over asp.net 1.0?

I have been asked many times about the advantage of asp.net 2.0 over asp.net 1.0, I know that 2.0 is the advanced version of asp.net 1.0 but I am not very clear about all the advantages. If anyone here can help me with all those advantages of asp.net 2.0 and disadvantages of asp.net 1.0 then that will be really great.
